Instructions for the Tax Rate Change on January 1, 2026
Mando Cash Registers
A database job will be run in Mando’s backend system on behalf of Mando Oy on December 31, 2025, between 23:00 and 24:00. After this, it is recommended to first close the day on the cash registers and then load the parameters to the registers. This parameter update will apply the 13.5% tax rate to products that previously had a 14% tax rate.
After loading the parameters, open a new business day dated January 1, 2026, and verify that the tax rates have changed to 13.5%.
NOTE! We recommend avoiding parameter loading during the database job on December 31, 2025, between 23:00 and 24:00.
MOBILE CASH REGISTERS:
For mobile cash register customers, it is especially important that users manually load the parameters into the register, as this model does not support automatic end-of-day processing or parameter loading.
SELF-SERVICE REGISTERS:
Please ensure that parameters are retrieved manually at the register! Check immediately in January that the correct tax rate is set on receipts in the background receipt archive.
INVOICING MODULE USERS:
All invoices should be issued before the end of the year, and only after verifying the product information can you invoice events for the following year.
The old 14% tax rate will remain in Mando’s backend for reporting purposes, and a new tax rate of 13.5% will be created.
Mando Oy will not make any changes to product sales prices or their adjustments; customers can make corrections themselves if they wish.
