Instructions for the Tax Rate Change on January 1, 2026

Mando Cash Registers

A database job will be run in Mando’s backend system on behalf of Mando Oy on December 31, 2025, between 23:00 and 24:00. After this, it is recommended to first close the day on the cash registers and then load the parameters to the registers. This parameter update will apply the 13.5% tax rate to products that previously had a 14% tax rate.

After loading the parameters, open a new business day dated January 1, 2026, and verify that the tax rates have changed to 13.5%.

NOTE! We recommend avoiding parameter loading during the database job on December 31, 2025, between 23:00 and 24:00.

The old 14% tax rate will remain in Mando’s backend for reporting purposes, and a new tax rate of 13.5% will be created.
Mando Oy will not make any changes to product sales prices or their adjustments; customers can make corrections themselves if they wish.

Supported Casio Cash Registers

Casio’s device manufacturing and support have ended globally. However, Mando Oy will still provide update instructions for supported Casio register models

In addition, support is available by calling our paid support line: 0600-12356 (Call rates: €2.23/min (VAT 25.5%) + local network/mobile charges). Support is available on weekdays from 9:00 to 16:00.

For Casio registers, the principle is that no new tax rate is created; instead, the existing 14% tax rate is modified to 13.5%. Changes cannot be made in advance; they must be done only after the new tax rate comes into effect.

First, all necessary Z-reports (daily, monthly, and yearly resets) must be completed on the registers, after which the changes can be made. Changes are made at the customer’s own responsibility.

Mando Oy has decided to continue supporting the following Casio register models for now:

Keypad Registers:

Casio SE-S100
Casio SE-S400
Casio SE-S3000
Casio SE-C450
Casio SE-C3500

Casio V-R Series Registers:

V-R 200
V-R 7100

Instructions available (NOTE: IN FINNISH ONLY!):

CASIO SE-S100 guide
CASIO SE series guide
CASIO V-R series guide

No support or instructions will be available for older models in the future. This does not mean that changing the tax rate on older Casio registers is impossible. You may attempt to change the tax rate at your own risk if you wish.
